Cullochy Lock - Kytra Lock drained 6th - 14th December

In order to allow emergency repairs to the lock gates at Kytra, the canal reach between Cullochy Lock and Kytra Lock will be drained between 6th and 14th December 2015. This will make it impassable for paddlers. Canoeists and kayakers with suitable experience may choose to use the River Oich as an alternative route if water conditions are ok.

From South to North

It is normally easier to paddle the Trail from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east with the prevailing wind behind you.
