As part of the Ness Weir refurbishment works, a temporary fish pass will be being installed on the weir on Tuesday 5th September.  Boat and paddler movements past the weir will be restricted to the following timeslots:

9.30am - 9.40am, 11.30am - 11.40am, 1.30pm - 1.40pm, 2.30pm - 2.40pm and 4.30pm - 4.40pm.  Canoeists and kayakers are reminded that the weir will remain a construction site until end Sept 2017 and for safety reasons it must not be used to access the River Ness.

60 miles in 5 days

It is an epic 60 mile (95km) journey crossing Scotland in 5 days and conquering the formidable open waters of Loch Lochy and Loch Ness, a challenge in itself.

From South to North

It is normally easier to paddle the Trail from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east with the prevailing wind behind you.
