No more scratched bottoms!

Since the Great Glen Canoe Trail opened in March 2012 we've had regular comments from paddlers that the non-slip decking of the canoe pontoons, whilst fantastically non-slip, was scratching the bottoms of canoes and kayaks being levered instead of lifted off the water.  We've worked with Intermarine, the supplier of the pontoons, to come up with a suitable solution and after a trial last year, have developed a robust plastic edging that we're retro-fitting to all of the canoe pontoons along the canal - not only will this save those bottoms from being scratched but it'll make the canoe pontoons much more visible from the water.
